[1] David Melding: Good afternoon, everyone. Welcome to this meeting of the Constitutional and Legislative Affairs Committee. The usual housekeeping announcements: we don’t expect a routine fire drill, so, if we hear the alarm, please follow the instructions of the ushers; switch all mobile devices at least to silent, please; and these proceedings are conducted in Welsh and English—when Welsh is spoken that there is a translation on channel 1 and channel 0 will amplify our proceedings, should you require that.

[3] David Melding: Item 3: papers to note. We have a letter from the Chair to the Minister for Natural Resources in relation to the proposals for European regulations on GMOs, and a reply from the Deputy Minister. Shall we note that? Then there is correspondence from the Minister for Natural Resources, again to the Environment and Sustainability Committee, in relation to the Environment (Wales) Bill, and two annexes. Our report on this was actually laid last Thursday, so I suggest we just note that and, presumably, the Environment and Sustainability Committee will follow that up.
[4] Then, there is the statement by the Minister on microchipping dogs in Wales—it’s from the Deputy Minister for Farming and Food. Obviously, this is a long-running saga, but it now seems to have been resolved, as you saw from the piece of secondary legislation that came before us. Okay. So, we’re happy to note that.
